Avian DNA Sexing

Unlock the mystery of your bird’s chromosomes! For an additional fee, DNA testing can be performed to determine your bird’s sex. You will receive a copy of the final test results for your records.

PetBirds101 is a licensed facility committed to maintaining a clean, well-cared-for aviary. Our entire breeding flock has received a clean bill of health.

If you would like individual testing for your bird and a report for your personal records, we can arrange testing for an additional fee. The final laboratory report will include results for:

1. Avian Polyomavirus
2. Psittacine Beak and Feather Disease (PBFD)
3. Chlamydia psittaci

A $100 reservation fee is required to place a bird on hold. The fee will be applied toward the bird’s total purchase price. The remaining balance is due at pickup or must be paid in full before shipping.

Reservation fees are nonrefundable if the buyer changes their mind, fails to complete the purchase, or does not pick up the bird by the agreed-upon date. If PetBirds101 is unable to complete the sale, the reservation fee may be transferred to another available bird or refunded.

The reservation fee does not include shipping, delivery, veterinary testing, or other additional costs unless specifically stated in writing. By paying the reservation fee, you confirm that you have reviewed and accepted these reservation terms.
